May Day is based on the Roman festival of Flora, which signified the beginning of Summer…but I guess nobody’s told the weather, as it was still quite frosty this morning. Instead of dancing round a Maypole in the sunshine, I braved the rain and popped out to the supermarket.
If you follow QuiddityGifts on Instagram or Twitter, you may have noticed all the excitement about this spring/summer. Well, the next few months plan to be very exciting with new product lines being listed in my shop soon, as well as appearances at craft fairs, starting next bank holiday. The perfect opportunity to order or pick up your own piece of custom jewellery. Oh, and there will be special offers and giveaways for all my followers to take part in.
And, the last exciting announcement is that Quiddity Gifts will be taking part in #the100dayproject My focus will be handmade jewellery (of course!), but I’ll be trying out new designs and techniques along the way, and will include loads of behind-the-scenes peeks and pics of complete disasters (I’m sure there will be a few!) So, follow QuiddityGifts and keep a lookout for my hashtag: #100daysofhandmadejewellery
Interested in joining the project yourself? What would you do for 100 days? photography, calligraphy, zentangle, pottery, knitting, sewing…the list is endless!
Here’s to May being a bright, colourful and creative month!
