I’m going to do it!
In all my…many years on this Earth, I’ve never eaten haggis. It’s sort of like Marmite, in the sense that I’ve always claimed I didn’t like it…but I’ve never actually tried it. So, this Burn’s Night is going to change all that. We’ve got a table booked at the local pub and I’m determined to celebrate Burn’s Night in style.
I visited Scotland for the first time last year – I know, shame on me for not having gone earlier. I loved visiting Rennie Mackintosh’s house and was inspired by his fabulous art deco style. This pendant is actually an art deco spin on the mathematical Fibonacci Golden Ratio sequence, but it reminds me of some of the decorative elements in the Mackintosh house. What do you think?
For me, nothing says ‘Scotland’ like Harris tweed and gorgeous Scottish thistles, so I’ve curated a collection of my favourite handmade Scottish makes for the perfect Burn’s Night gift ideas:
What’s your favourite Scottish souvenir? and how are you going to celebrate Burn’s Night 2018?
All items featured in this blog were personally selected by me as I think they’re gorgeous – no commission or deals for me if you purchase them, but if you value handmade items, please do take a minute to check out the Etsy shops and support small businesses. All product photos were taken from individual stores and have not been edited in any way. Many items are one-of-a-kind or limited numbers and may not be available for long, so if you see something you like…pop it in your basket. Happy shopping!
